Dear Brother and Sister Brousseau-
It is with great pleasure that we inform you that Elder Brousseau has arrived here in the Philippines Laoag Mission! He spent a few hours at the mission home and then was off with his new companion, Elder Tuiaki, to their area in Pasuquin.
We are confident that he is going to be a great missionary and love the Philippines as we do! Thank you for raising a son who is ready to serve the Lord!
With love and appreciation,
President and Sister Peterson

What a crazy few days! We flew for 2 days! That was pretty fun. If the pictures don't come in very well I'm blaming it on the fact that I can't go into drive here. It will be fine though.
Friday: We did laundry and went to class. We did a Skype TRC and the lady we were talking to was so awesome. She said that we would be great missionaries and that we knew the language really well even though we spoke a bunch of English. It was super sweet of her and our lesson went well.
Saturday: We had our last class with Sister Lundskog today. That was super sad but the spirit was good there so it was fine. I packed for the rest of the day because I didn't want to leave it all for Monday or Sunday. My suitcases were both over weight after I had packed all of my things except my shirts so I was kind of worried about that but I just decided to check both my bags instead of have a carry on and a checked bag so it all turned out and I was able to be under weight for both.
Sunday: It was Fast Sunday as many of you know. I starting to figure out how to use Fast Sunday for my good instead of be hungry all day. I can feel the spirit really well on Fast Sundays. It's awesome. We all shared our testimonies in Sacrament meeting which was so cool to feel the strength of so many of the missionaries in the branch. We had a mission conference which was good. We also had the First Presidency message as our devotional and it was so good! I love the First Presidency. We had a double feature for the Sunday film when we watched "Only a Stone cutter" and "James Tanner" which are both good movies about strong members of the church. I finished packing tonight so I wouldn't have to worry about it tomorrow. This is when it gets a little crazy.
Monday and Tuesday: It was travel day and my whole room had to leave by 9 except for me. I left at 12. I decided though that I would get everything ready by the time they leave so I wouldn't even need to do even any final touches. It was awesome not to have to do anything for 3 hours. I hung out with the others going to Laoag. We took a bus to Frontrunner to Trax to the airport. It was a lot of traveling but as we were on Frontrunner, Elder Peterson and I talked to this guy about the Book of Mormon. He was studying this Jehovah's Witness's book that his brother gave him and was writing notes on things that confused him about what they believe. He also was bouncing around to different churches trying to find out which one was right. We started talking to him about Joseph Smith. He was a really nice guy. We got to Salt Lake airport and went to Cafe Rio and as we were about to pay the cashier said someone had already paid for us! We were so surprised! We went and thanked her and she just said bless you for what you are doing. We then flew to LAX and hung out there for a long time and let me tell you, that airport is really confusing when you have very little instruction on where to go and what to do. We figured it out though.
Wednesday: We got to the Philippines and right away we had someone there from the church to guide us through the airport and to help us through security. We got outside and I got hit with this wall of humidity. It is really crazy how humid it is. We met with the MTC President (Pres. Carlos) and were showed around. The drivers on the way here were crazy. They make Californian drivers look tame. We got new companions and mine is Elder Wilson. The temple across the street has Christmas lights up that make it look even more beautiful. People are really friendly here.
Thursday: We are in a room with Elder Anderson and Elder Ross. Everything is so nice here! The food, the weather, the people (not saying the people in Utah are really mean but they are really nice here.), and the air conditioning.
Friday: Sorry I'm rushed for time but we went to class and had good food. We also went to the temple and kind of contacted some members there. We also learned some Ilokano which was so fun! It is so fun here!
